Some time ago, I wrote a utility for constructing 2D and 3D lattices of
hollow pipes. Possibly you may be interested in using this. I post three
files:
1) LatticeTest.POV is a demo containing also the description and use
(very simple!)  ; -)
2) DifShapes.inc contains the different pipes needed.
3) Lattice.inc is the utility itself.
