My problem, is that with a separate reboot to MS-DOS, I get a screen which is 75%
black, with a truncated and warped band across the top.  The same thing occurs
with a typical Win98 execution.

Just what is a person supposed to download?  The POVLAB page offers a bunch of
confusing things. There's like a basic version-- implied incomplete,  an updated
patch which isn't clearly for the basic version, and a button which brings up an
Excite search of a hundred places to find it, some with dates a few years old!
