No, DDE is used to communicate between their two components, if I read it
correctly.  As I see it, there are two problems here; three if they didn't
obtain explicit permission from the POV-Team.

(1) The inclusion of POV-Ray should be promoted only as a free bonus and 
not as a feature designed to encourage customers to purchase or upgrade 
solely for the POV-Ray capability. 

(2)Include clear and obvious information on how to obtain the official 
POV-Ray. 

But this isn't really our problem.  Whoever posted the original message 
should bring it to the attention of Chris Young, including URLs and other
contact information if available, and then forget about it and let him
decide what to do with it.
