Yeah, he's certainly right about that!!! Radiosity is a very advanced
rendering method and due to the incredible amount of calculations necessary
to work out diffuse light reflection (well, at least the ambient values
anyway) it could take up to 20 sec to do a pixel with a very big and
complexly lit scene. My advice is that if you don't need radiosity (ie.
you're not doing architectural rendering or visualisation) turn it off,
because it may just make things take longer with the final rendering not
looking much different...
(but hey, if you have a SPARC, SGI Infinite Reality Monster or Cray II it
might be worth it :)
