I brought your observation to the attention of Chris Young and the whole team. I also
made a list of all core bugs I could find in this group and Chris Young read it, so
here is his answer.

Forwarded message from Chris Young:

I'm sure there will be.

Keep in mind I warned everyone that I would NOT be monitoring the newsgroups for bug
reports. I still consider "I reported it in the newsgroup" as unreported. Your post
today is the first forwarded report from team that I've seen.

I have received email on .v, and 4-vector. Those bugs existed since those features
were added to 3.0 so people have lived with them for two years. The normal bug was
posted by email and I've publicly explained that the full fix will require major
rewrite. A partial fix will go in 3.1b. This bug has been around since POV-Ray 1.0
and was only reported late in 3.1 testing (perhaps after final release, I don't
recall). The sphere scaling bug is DOS/Win only and has been there since at least
2.0 perhaps longer. It will be fixed in 3.1b. (I may have included it in 3.1a for
DOS, I'm not sure.)

Everyone voted to take a vacation from POV-Ray work.

Three platforms haven't even released their first release of 3.1 and a fourth
platform just did release.

I'm in no hurry.

p.s. Feel free to forward this to anyone.
