I look at it after posting this, yes, and then I walked over to a friend with a WinDOS
PC (P2 266). It looks terrible and seems to be very limited and difficult to use (not
very flexible) compared to Apples QT technology (which is proven for years now). It
takes me less than a minute to create a QT VR movie out of *free* tools by simply
drgging the output image (actually, POV-Ray Mac can directly output to QuickTime
Movies, this goes for single frames as well as *animations* - so I could even directly
create a digial video stream to upload to a digial video recorder via FireWire...just
to let you know :-) on the application,it will ask me I I want to change the default
compression and then I press a "Create" button and after 30 sec all is done!
(And note that a former POV-Ray team member, Jim Nitchals, worked on Apples
QuickTime!!! And is even mentioned as doing its optimzation on QT VR in the SIGGRAPH
95 paper...)
