I was just starting to use atmosphere in POV-Ray 3.02 and hesitated to
switch to the 3.1 beta for a while. But having made that switch I want
to render a scene I had been working on which uses an atmosphere to
simulate a dusty room with the early morning sun shining in a window.
I was beginning to get somewhere in 3.02 but I wanted to finish it in
3.1. However I am having a great deal of trouble converting atmosphere
to media. I am getting nothing in the image at all now. My atmosphere
for the 3.02 scene was:
atmosphere {
type 5 // Henyey-Greenstein
eccentricity 0.3
distance 40.0
color <0.8,0.8,1.0,0.0,1.0>
scattering 0.2
samples 20
jitter 0.2
aa_threshold 0.1
aa_level 8
}
There is a spotlight about 400 units from the room, which is about 20
units square, shining through a window with glass.
Could anyone tell me what settings I should use in media to get a
similar result? I have been through the documentation and have looked at
the example scenes, but I cannot seem to grasp what to do.
Thanks for your time.
Mark
