A density file, which has the extension .DF3 is like a 3D grey scale
image file.
POV 3.1 beta can use 3D patterns to control the density of media (what
was halo in 3.0) or with a colour map you can use it to create your own
3D pigments etc.

Hmm. I don't seem to be doing a good job of explaining it.  If you have
3.1, read the docs on density files, if you don't have 3.1 then you
don't want this utility.
