Perhaps we want to use some of the povray patches for at least some
scenes. What I primarily think of is the isosurface patch. Say that we
want to have dripping water making ripples as it hits the water surface
(in different locations everytime) - easy to trace with the isosurface
patch but quite difficult otherwise. Also the macro facility in the
isosurface patch could come in handy in a project of this size... I bet
lots of other patches have their advantages too - the only problem must
be the (lack of) availability of readily ported versions of the patches
for some plattforms.
