Last night when the new scheme was switched on, I could at least connect to the
newsgroups and see the various usual threads and individual posts with no
problem (using the web portal in Windows, plus Firefox)-- but could not send a
reply post. The first page that came up was something like "this HTTPS site is
not available; you can try the non-secured HTTP site by clicking here." But that
brought up a page which said the site was completely unavailable, or words to
that effect. So it seemed to be read-only.

Sorry that it hasn't worked out successfully, as yet!
