The Glasgow team are apparently using a curios language called DocBook 
to write their user guide. Unfortunately, although their build system 
knows how to turn DocBook into viewable formats such as HTML and PDF, 
*I* do not.

Does anybody know what tools you need to do this [on Windows]?

XSL...

For documentation, I hope you have written a program to generate the XML and 
XSL for you....but should you have to it all by hand...then may god have 
mercy on your soul...

 From what I can tell, there are standard XSL stylesheets for turning 
DocBook into XSL-FO, and from there you can convert to a number of 
output formats.

That still leaves the small problem of finding a program capable of 
running XSL stylesheets, and another program capable of turning XSL-FO 
into something viewable...

really? I thought "DocBook to make documentation..." was a 
straightforward approach, but take in account that maybe there is the 
info u need or an even easier solution but as always is not in the damn 
place where is suppose to be.

I wonder if it's a fair enough trade off to have this powerful 
Programming Language freeware with great features with an almost total 
lack of organization on resources(specially docs and directions) instead 
of other more organized, well documented Languages that doesn't do that 
good and yet you have to pay for them? I feel is like being married, is 
not just the fact that I love it, is a decision I've made to stick to it 
no matter what... Jesus! get better ALREADY! :)
