That sound very plausible.

It might help you to use "translate <X2+0.2,0,0>" instead of writing 
"translate x*(X2+0.2)" The former is the officially recommended syntax, 
while the latter just /happens/ to be equivalent, and is therefore 
frequently used by advanced users because it requires less typing.
