added extra platforms, changed the camera angle.. added a spotlight. I
changed the skysphere slightly (you didn't see that before.. but it was
there)
So far i'm getting pretty positive feedback from this angle change.
I still think the spotlight and the bumptexture needs tuning.
let's see what you think!

A lot more striking! It's improved a lot. I think it still needs some work,
but I'm not sure exactly what...

well it's far from finished.. I still have to add a fortification wall..
a bridge.. change the tower.. fix the lighting.. give the park a fence
or a glass dome .... or objects around the edge.. .trees.... adjust the
color of the waterfall to match the surrounding scene..... a tunnel...
oh my lots of work to be done.

I saw the first version; no doubt that this image is improved;
The camera play a great role in the quality of imaging... So, you
got a more interesting camera angle; The whole thing really looks
like another planet, a moon, and it is a secret base, or town... into t
he
crater.

Looks good, but i'm not sure what it's actually meant to be.
The sky looks interesting, image_map or procedural?

ahh image map. I'm glad it's not as obvious as I thought it was.

h yeah...and ever since I added my script to place random buildings on
the platforms.. povray keeps crashing! I hope I can find out what's causing this
soon.

The angle is much better but the low lighting does not correspond to
such a bright sky. Have you considered radiosity?

Much improved. It's very dark, but you don't want colors to get washed out...
maybe a tiny gamma adjustment?

The camera angle is much improved and the whole thing looks better with
extra added building detail. The lighting seemed better before somehow. I
suggest toning down the intensity of the sky and maybe adding some color to
the crater city itself, as well as brightening it some. The two elements
compete with each other too much in this version.
