Following Mick's suggestion i tried making some gulls and did a test
render with radiosity overnight.
Only flying ones right now, they are just a quick hack with blobs and the
wings and tails made with hamapatch.
Comments would be greatly appreciated.

Looks great!
I hope I didn't put you off with my suggestions on the bricks edges. Or did you
just take the camera forward a bit just to test the gulls ?
Regards
Nekar

Excellent gulls - just a thought, I always make two or three of everything
and mix them up, some gulls with wings at a different angles would improve
the realism still further, having come this far you may as well go the whole
hog!
All the best
Mick

Nice gulls, no more detail is needed as long as you're staying distant.
I think it will add a lot to the image.

There are two different types of wings and two different tails,
furthermore the rotation of the wings also varies from one gull to the
other. Of course that's all not very visible in such a small size. Do
you think the variation should be stronger?

On a second, close look I can see the two different gulls, perhaps the
difference should be strong enough to show immediately? Still, great gulls
