That looks quite impressive, just think the paint texture could be more
shiny, and with some (blurred) reflection to make it differ more from the
rust.
It would also be interesting to see it combined with some real surface
displacement (isosurface), of course the teapot would not be the best
object for that...

Here is the texture on a unit sphere. Source in p.b.s-f. I couldn't
find a way to make the paint bubble around the edges so I used crackle.

Radiosity and low quality area light (blurred the shadow in Photoshop).
It's the Cornell box scene. The texture is in binaries.scene-files. The
paint is just specular 0.5 with bumps, and crackle near the edges.
I manipulated the teapot image a bit so that it would not look so clean.
Added high and low frequency croma noise. Adjusted color balance. Compare
with the unedited sphere in my other post.
