When I go to render an animation in Moray v3.5 build 9330, sometimes it
crashes, and sometimes it doesn't. When it does crash, the Win XP error
report sometimes lists
ModName: animplugin.dll

and sometimes it lists

ModName: polyray2.dll

This problem happens regardless of frame rate, render size, and whether the
file is one I created or one that came with Moray. Now, the scenes that
tend to cause a crash have either a CSG or a mesh in them. However, many
of the scenes causing this error I have animated previously. Also, two
scenes that are nearly identical with only a single light, camera, and CSG
object get different results - one crashes and the other doesn't. If I
merge the CSG from the scene that crashes into the scene that doesn't, and
delete the original CSG from the scene that doesn't crash, the scene will
now crash when I try to animate. These scenes render still pictures fine,
but if I try to render the animation using still pictures rather than an
avi as the output, it still crashes. The animation plugin is working
because I can animate [some] other scenes.

This one is really weird to me. Anyone have any ideas?

Derek

Meh. The problem still exists, but if I render with *.png files exported to
POV-Ray, everything works out fine.
