All of AMDs 64-bit processors support SSE2.
3DNow! was an AMD proprietary extension to Intel's MMX instruction set
introduced in 1998. Intel replied with the introduction of SSE a year later.
Due to low popularity of 3DNow!, AMD later turned to adopted the SSE
family of instruction set extensions. AMD even went so far as to
designate SSE and SSE2 as core instructions in their AMD64 instruction
set, and in 2010 abandoned 3DNow! entirely.
Your Athlon X2 CPU absolutely, positively supports SSE2.
