polynomial & poly are two different syntax for the same object, so it's
normal that both display the same behaviour.

It's transparent (filter) and with interior Ior. There might be some
noise amplification on the computation of the two normals (input and
output of the ray). Or something else.

I noticed that the reported poly was 6-th order on dimension, might be
interesting to have a study on the lower even order (even is closed, odd
is usually infinite, IIRC).

It's not as grainy as coincident surface.

Just my 0.02€.
