I am just wondering if there is any way on Windows to render using multiple
PC's over a network LAN??? I have seen or heard of rumors of people doing
such, and I would just love to know how. Thanks for the help!

Hallo Mark,

>I have seen or heard of rumors of people doing

I have also seen and heared such rumors :-) for example here:
http://www.it-berater.org/shtmls/smpov_feedback.shtml

If you ask Google for "distributed rendering pov-ray" you get more results.

Three more notes:
1. I am just working on a version that is much easier to install, I hope to
bring it
out in the next 2 weeks.

2. If you distribute POV-Ray Animations over LAN, you can even use Radiosity
,
which will lead to artifacts in actual "tiled rendering".

3. The new version is already tested with MEGA-POV (1.2 - most actual).

4. As before, SMPOV for POV-Ray 3.6 will support SMP-Rendering as well as
distributed Rendering in the network - and both at the same time.

5. For technical Reasons you may get artifacts when rending in tiles.

best regards
