There's a new windows beta available, beta 38, which fixes the timeout
issue. It also has a bunch of other fixes and improvements. See

  http://www.povray.org/beta/

for the changelist and download links.

Goodness gracious, kudos to whomever proposed and/or implemented the display of
filename when hovering over an editor tab and the right-click menu to editor
tabs!

Well done, POV-team!

Sorry, there are some questions and comments

1. In version 3.7 beta38 issue warnings on your own Gold.inc
for example
File: ..\My Documents\POV-Ray\v3.7\include\golds.inc Line: 118
Parse Warning: Expected pure RGB color expression, unexpected filter and
transmit components will have no effect.

2.Using Radiosity:

Compared with version 3.1 beta37a output image has now become VERY
dark.

current settings Radiosity:

global_settings (
  file_gamma 1
  max_trace_level 5
  radiosity (
       count 100
       nearest_count 5
       error_bound 2
       recursion_limit 2
       low_error_factor 0.2
       minimum_reuse 0.015
       gray_threshold 0.0
       brightness 1
       adc_bailout 0.01/2
 )
)

what's wrong?

I will explain - daylight falls through the windows and
made as a sphere.

...
sphere { 0, 11000 inverse
         texture { pigment { rgb <1, 1, 1> }
                   finish  { ambient 15 diffuse 0}
                 }
         hollow no_shadow
 }
...

in version beta38 no light from the sphere
