Has anyone considered using cvs for MegaPOV? Would it make sense to do
so?

Why cvs? Why not, for example, prcs?

That's the problem with suggesting something within a community; someone
always has a "better solution". :-/
I really don't care about what source control-system is used for official or
unofficial version of pov-ray; as long as it's NOT windows-specific. Anything
which can be used for OS/2, Linux, Solaris, Windows, Amiga, Mac, PC-DOS, etc
is fine.
I really love the povray team's philosophy -- no one is discriminated.

The POV-Team is already using a (cross-platform, of course) version control
system. So no need to discuss which version control system is best, there
already is one the team agreed on - and which work well, I might add. :-)
