We have made available the final version of MegaPOV 1.2. Binaries for
Windows, MacOS, Linux(x86) as well as the source code for Unix and MacOS
are available for download on:
http://megapov.inetart.net/
Note the Windows package now includes both the GUI and console version
in one package. We also prepared a Linux binary package for AMD64 which
is like the normal binary package but will only work on AMD64 machines.
A Windows source package will follow in the next days.
Changes compared to the beta:
- added fix for the problem of passing macro parameters by reference.
- bugfix for RAD_SAMPLES_RANDOMIZE_PATCH (thanks to Michael Andrews).
What's new in version 1.2:
- Area light trace level control
- Bicubic interpolation for image maps
- New features in the mechanics simulation patch
- Custom tone mapping feature
- Radiosity improvements
- Several bug fixes

It seems the megapov-1.2-linux-amd64.tar.bz2 tarball is corrupted :-(
I downloaded it twice after flushing the cache, same problem twice.
Here is the file that I receive:

The other linux distros unpack fine, as well as the unix source package.

I already feared something like that but did not have the nerve to check
yesterday evening (after uploading ~70MB via ADSL line)...
New package is on the way now.
