I noticed Visual C++ for Windows CE with Windows CE emulator released in some
newspaper. I do not know anything about Windows CE but having emulator I
probably can try (Mega)POV-Ray compilation with it. But first I need to know if
there is any possible user of such compilation.

You could try, but personally I wouldnt bother - you just dont have the RAM
on the old CE platform to play with

I would test it. I'm working with WinCE, but in Industrial Automation... I
have worked one time with the Emulator,
but it's slow. I have also think about a PovRay on WinCe but didn't found
time to realize.

I have an iPAQ h3830 and I've always wanted to have POV-Ray on it. Why
waste 206 free megahertz you're not using anyway?

I'd _try_ it. I've been putting all kinds of things on my CE machine just
because I can. POV-Ray would be cool. I could raytrace in my pocket.
:-)

Sigh... was hoping I could offload my renders on our IBM SP2 (RS6000 based)
"fridge" back when we got it at work in '96, but the damn thing's CPU
utilization is always up there, no cycles to spare. I think my PC is more
powerful... ;-)
