We are pleased to announce the release of MegaPOV 1.1.
You can get the compiled versions for Windows, Mac and Linux as well as
the source code from:
http://megapov.inetart.net/
The Windows version comes with an executable that can be slower than
MegaPOV 1.0 in some cases. The reason is POV-Ray 3.6 and versions
based on it can no more be built with MSVC 6 so we have to use
different compilers.
The post processing patch currently is quite slow. This is a problem on
all platforms, we are investigating ways to improve this. You should
consider the post processing feature as highly experimental therefore.

Thanks.
Willhalm's Bear.pov seems to have a problem (Windows version @ 1280x1024, AA
0.3).
There are parts of the body missing as if there is a CSG error.
What sort of debug data should I send you, or will you test the file
yourself?

Looks fine for me, with the same settings.

Hence the need to debug.

I see what you mean. I thought there are actual parts of the Bear
missing. I do also have the strange shapes artifacts.
But I'm not sure if this is of much help for you.

Has someone tried free MS Visual C++ Toolkit 2003?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/visualc/vctoolkit2003/
Will MegaPOV compile with it? Docs do not mention it, so I guess that
answer is no?

When I render the camera_view desk sample scene, the picture on the desk
seems to have a small patch at the bottom right corner that is brighter for
some reason, but the main image does not have this patch of brightness. Is
this supposed to be like this and if so, what causes it.

I can not see what you mean.
The image looks fine to me.
Keep in mind that there are reflections on the image on the desk.
Could you post/mail an image where you mark the spot?
