I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, if it isn't, I'm
sorry.

I was on MegaPOV's website this afternoon, and I noticed that it hasn't
been updated in a long time (almost a year). Is this project still being
worked on? Also, I noticed that the Linux version is 0.5, yet the Windows
version is 0.7. Is there a newer Linux version and I'm just missing it?
Thanks in advance.

Best place for it.

All work on MegaPov is on hold until the final release of POV-Ray v3.5.
After that MegaPov will be based and built upon the source code of 3.5.

Which implies that looking at the 3.5 beta might be a good idea...

If you have specific problems with MegaPOV 0.5, then you can download
other patches, which are based on newer MegaPOV. One of them is POVMan,
which is based on MegaPOV 0.7, as additional bonus it includes support
for shaders and cloth simulation. Latest version could be found on
Bouf's homepage http://tofbouf.free.fr/clothray/download_en.html. There
is source code (
Note: it is somewhat complicated, as there is 2 set of files: version
0.7 and version 0.71.4. You should get both, unpack 0.7 source and then
copy files from 0.71.4 over 0.7 version.) and you should compile binary
itself (it should not be too hard, if you know Linux, readme has short
instruction for it too).
