Howdy all -
I'm sure this must be the wrong group, but right now it seems the closest I
can find. Sorry. But could any of y'all glow-in-the-dark programming wizards
explain the following, and possibly point me to an avenue of correction? I
have a nice disassembler and an excellent hex editor. I merely lack
programming expertise.

In attempting to run raystorm, I got the following :
> the raystorm.exe file is linked to missing export >rsi.dll:rsiAddBrush_.

Error log contained this:
------------------------------------------------------
raystorm error message:

"the instruction at 0043f349 referenced memory at ffffffff
the memory could not be read from"

RAYSTORM caused an invalid page fault in
module RSI.DLL at 0167:0043f349.

This might be a corrupt or old version of rsi.dll. Try reinstalling
raystorm.

BTW this is a POVray news group. You might see if there is a raystorm
newsgroup somewhere.

I don't even know what "raystorm" is, but unless it is a modified
version of POV-Ray or has something else to do with POV, your best bet
would be to contact the author or find a newsgroup or mailing list that
deals with it. You could also post to povray.off-topic, but you aren't
as likely to get help.

Raystorm is a GAME. It is not in any way related to POV.

Thanks to all for any attempts to help. For information purposes, the
raystorm to which I refer is not a game, it is a raytracing
modeller/animator created by Andreas Heumann and Mike Hesser. To the best of
my information, there is no ng devoted to it, it is no longer in
development,..... Sorry for bothering y'all.

http://www.uni-ulm.de/~s_mhesse/raystorm.html was the place for it
apparently. Found a site mentioning it as an example of the programming
used. http://www.haage-partner.com/storm/sc_e.htm
