As far as I know it can't be done (i.e. Moray doesn't support MP features).
By the way, please don't crosspost messages to several groups. Follow-ups
set to povray.unofficial.patches

you can enable the mega pov features by entering the #version cammand in all
the moray scene defaults files, however when you do megaPov falls over the
shorthand rotations used by moray.
strange how it works perfectly in normal mode....

Actually, MegaPov works fine. BUT... do not try to set the unofficial
version number in the INI file. Just use "#version unofficial..." in the
POV and INC files.
If you try to set the unofficial version number in the INI file, MegaPov
won't understand what you're trying to do, and it will set the official
version to zero instead. Way back when POV was in version 0 (when was
that?), the expression parser did not support shorthand expressions.
To repeat myself: MegaPov works fine. :-)

Can you elaborate? What does MegaPOV not handle correctly? I thought
it was 100% POV-Ray compatible??

Just to make sure its not me, here is what i am going.
I go through all the external files that are used by moray and end up in the
final exported scene (moraypov.inc etc etc), and add the required version
number to turn on the fancy mega pov features.
in moray, create a torus and render - clunk.
torus { // Torus001
1.5, 0.5 rotate -x*90
}
seems in megapov when not in normal mode cannot handle the cordinate
shorthand used by moray
or then again - it may just be me......

Really? Wow, I can't imagine that MegaPOV can't something as basic as
this. What is the error message?
