I'm working on an animation of a scene with an isosurface consisting of two
functions (mesh1 and TH) that crossfade. The scene has a complex texture, to
be sure, but it is running about 24 hours per frame on a PII/500 with 256 MB
RAM. I just noticed that the max_gradient value reads 2837.585. The exact
line is:
function 1: imp_func max_gradient 2837.585

Is there any way I can restrain the max_gradient, or should I do so? Is
there anything obvious here that might be relevant to the rendering time; at
least something I can control?
Happy to supply the whole scene if needed. I was actually thinking 900
frames for this segment of the animation...
Thanks ,
D.
