Is there a way to make an object refract photons but not see it?
I'm scanning the 0.4 documentation but have not seen it. Perhaps you
have to know the code word in order to find it in a search....

Maybe you are looking for the no_image feature? As far as I know, it 
only affects objects seen directly.
