This is because all three of these patches still use the old Win32 POV 3.1a
source code... these graphic problems (such as the invisible buttons) where
solved in the win32 3.1g source however. I also get the same problems you
mention on all the patches that use this source too, but they do not appear
in the official 3.1g.
I'm not sure how it could be fixed, since it could be due to problems with
your video drivers (though perhaps it's surprising it seems to effect quite
a few people?), system dlls as well as obviously 3.1a.

I have the latest and greatest Matrox offers. I'll play around with the
acceleration setting when I get home. Thanks.

I am aware of this problem (It happens to me every time I run WinMegaPov,
too). I have not yet upgraded to the 3.1g interface source code, which
fixes these problems. Someday I probably will, but it's not a high priority
right now.

If it were really the card settings, the buttons
would probably never show.

I am running Win98 with a Matrox (1 year old). I have replaced
the Pov 3.1g (and I think it is important to use 3.1g instead of 3.1a)
execuatble by the megapov executable and all is always fine!

Good! In that case, however, I am clueless. Perhaps Nathan can say if
he's changed any of the settings.

I have also the described problem but I have also noticed horizontal
streaks on the message window background - perhaps this is also due to
non-3.1g interface code...
