As far as I know, the differences between 3.1a and 3.1e are only bug
fixes. That's why I would expect the isosurface patch to work with
3.1e, too. Furthermore, there never existed an official unix version 3.1a.

Hi Thomas,

I already tried to compile the version 3.1e with the isosurface patch, and
I got tons of errors. I don't know if it is because of the different versions,
or because of some mistakes I did.

To compile povray with the patch, I copied the patch into the source
directory of povray and then I started the new version of the Makefile
inside the unix directory. Is this correct so far?

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks for your reply
