Hi, i have installed povray 3.6.1 and want to use smp version 3.7.0. But it
requires libraries like libpng, i have installed libpng in home directory as i
do not have root access. I used --with-libpng to configure povray 3.7.0 but it
still cannot find libpng. How does povray 3.7.0 uses files from 3.6.1, it has
to be installed in the same directory or some installation option has to be
given during installation of 3.7.0.

I'm suspecting you do not have the -dev package installed for libpng (and
maybe others.
