From ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Old-Versions/Official-3.0/
I have installed povray3.02 for Sun running Solaris 8.0

Having followed the installation instructions for that version.
I've run a simple test example

e.g.

povray +Itree.pov +Oscene.tga -D

I get the error:


INI file error.


Does anyone know what the problem is here?

  Is there some specific reason why you want to use a version that old?

  The problem may be caused by many reasons and it's difficult to say
anything based on the info you gave.
