I have a simple suggestion for the next version.
The editors widget has too thick frame and reduces the precious vertical
space. If you could remove that frame (or make it thin) that would be
nice. The same goes for the statusbar. It would be perfect to be able to
turn it off/on.
I have good res (1280x960) but would still prefer to have more space
(especially vertical).
You have overall the most convenient editor for linux. Great work.
Good luck.

Hi,
Thanks for all your good remarks. I have a new version that is ready
since few weeks, but I did not post it because of windows version wich
does not handle indentation correctly :-(
I think I'll stop disasters with windows version and continue only with
Linux.
Currently I'm having fun with a role playing game and so QTPE lakes of
my attention, but I'll try to do something quickly.
For what I said about the V2, QTPE may not be "QT"PE anymore, but may
become something like FXPE or FoxPE as I looking at a library which is
completely free and wich supports as well Linux or windows or other UNIX
wich is named "Fox toolkit"
Have a good time.

About future Qt licensing under M$ Windows, just in case you're not
aware of this announcement:
http://www.trolltech.com/newsroom/announcements/00000192.html
Basically I just read the headlines, so I don't know whether this looks
actually better than before (esp. wrt GPL licensing).

I am aware of this dual licensing announcement, but the history tells
that this is not the first attempt from Trolltech (see version 2.2.3).
So we cannot be sure that QT 4.0.2, 4.1.0, ... will also be distributed
with the same licensing terms. That's why I prefer to swich now : when
everthing has to be done rather than later when Trolltech will decide of
it. Moreover, my own experience shows that the QT Library is not a realy
good library : it has very good stuf but it's not exciting and quite
some bugy :-/

I'm definietly not objective when it comes to QT vs. other toolkits but I
couldn't resist to post this perhaps usefull references in case you are before
making choices:
