Crying again. Why do we always get the new beta not until one day
after the old one expires? :,-(

I agree this is not a very good situation. I guess Mark is simply busy
with real life so it would not be fair to blame him too much for this.

You might do as I did: I simply stopped raytracing. When the 3.5 release
will be out, I will use it. It is plainly ridiculus to force people to a
7/8 mbytes download EACH week (ever heard of patch tools? once every 4/5
betas release a new full version and in between only patches).

Bye...

And deal with all the people not able to apply a patch or don't even get that
they have to download a full package first to apply a patch? :-(

How about just posting the expiration date on the download page? I just
downloaded POVRay again last night and found out that the April 16th release has
expired already. I think the team is doing great work on the program, but it
certainly would be helpful to list both the current Beta version number and the
expiration date on the download page. That would save a lot of people some
grief.

Thanks for the great work.

The patch can be just a zip with the changed files in the proper path
locations. Applying the patch is nothing more challenging than unzip
pov35patch4.zip and telling unzip to overwrite existing files.... in most
cases, the patch would not be larger than pov executable plus some inc's.

P.S.: sorry for proposing rocket-science ideas....
