Image Based Lighting can be done using HDRI in Megapov and POV-Ray 3.7 beta
or, in POV-Ray 3.6 using the technique described here
http://www.ignorancia.org/en/index.php?page=Pseudo_HDRI

Ambient occlusion isn't supported in POV-Ray.

You can set up a HDRI light scheme in Poseray, the tool that can convert
Poser scenes to Povray. You'll also need HDRI Shop to convert the photo you
want to base the light setup on into the .pfm format. Works well for certain
types of scenes. Think you might be better served by taking a good look at
lightsys though.
