i know this may sound silly, but does anyone use povray solely as their
scripting language? i actually had the crazy idea of doing this since i
know povray better than perl. perhaps using povray (instead of perl or php)
in conjunction with apache for dynamic html content?

The other day I gave serious consideration to sitting down and writing a
web server with POV-Ray's SDL...
(But then, of course, I realised that POV-Ray doesn't have any way to
access ports and such things, so this is clearly impossible!)

I don't know nearly enough about bash to do that...

This is the wrong group for this question. This group is for discussion of
the POV-Ray source code. Questions about using the POV-Ray scene
description language or ray-tracing in general should be asked in either
povray.general or povray.newusers. Off-topic questions should be asked in
in povray.off-topic.
