Thanks. This would make a cool movie. Britain is faced with no air travel (or
astronomy) for a century and insists on drilling big holes all over Iceland. Big

Please don't tell me that's the premise behind that move ... (I've not
seen it, I'm not sure I have any desire to see it ...)

OK, we won't. Yellowstone is just the first of many disasters. It was a
bunch of decent special effects piled on top of a lame and obvious plot.

Can you name one disaster movie which doesn't have an "obvious plot"?

"Volcano" was kind of refreshing. There weren't any selfish bad-guys trying
to take advantage of the disaster at the expense of others.

It amused me when I saw the trailer for The Day After Tomorrow:

"Contains scenes of extended peril."

Um, no, it does not *contain* scenes of peril, it *is* scenes of peril!!
