BTW, NASA apparently has an image site. What I can't figure out is why 
the hell all the images are so blurry and low resolution...

The image site I've visited has exceptional images at very high 
resolutions....which site are you visiting?

I dunno, I just pulled up a photo of M81 and it looks pretty good to me - 
maybe a bit grainy (but that's to be expected as it's an un-retouched 
photo).

I guess it depends on what images you're looking at.
