Haven't seen anyone else comment on this yet so.

Perhaps it will advance to the point that you can take off from the ground
rather then be dropped from an aeroplane, but I can well imagine this
taking over from sky-diving as the latest thing to do if it hits the
mass-market. I mean I don't 'get' a lot of the jumping out of or off of
things crowd, but damn this looked so cool.

Jet engines vs props? I don't expect a cloth hang glider is going to go
186MPH and still hold together.
I saw one that looked pretty cool - a hang-gliding/skydiving suit of
clothes that made you look like a flying squirrel.

In principle, a Honda Civic is the same as an Indy 500 Formula 1, too.
One's just more exciting than the other, I guess. :-)

Mmm Honda Civic [drool] :-P
But yeah I think the 141+ mph difference would mark it as distinctive from
a powered hang-glider in the same way a F14 is distinct from a Sopworth
Camel.
