Heh, core memory sounds complicated - until you discover that 
researchers are trying to use photosynthetic algae crossed with mammal 
neuron genes to try to make a RAM subsystem...

(In fairness, if it were to *work*, it would have insane data storage 
density.)

metal, sylicon and plastic robots are definitely a thing of the past.

No it doesn't! Why pay a guy to make eyeballs when you can just grow 
them? :-P

Also, I want the image-processing software they had... Think what I 
could do with my photo collection!
