That and the fact that, like I said, sometimes you need an overview to
describe how the pieces fit together before you can properly understand
the nitty gritty of individual function descriptions and so on.

"You're losing us money", I would imagine...
(No, that's [apparently] not a criminal offence. But if you have enough
money, you can construct an argument that *is* a valid legal charge.
After all, matters of law are always decided by money, not rules.)

Patents on the instruction sets. TurboHercules is the particular company
I'm thinking of. Of course, the europeans are slapping IBM around with
anti-trust suits for not letting IBM zOS run on anything but the mainframes
it was written for.
