I just notice that I can't stand music being played over and over again,
even when it is my most favorite pieces - with the notable exception of
Gordon Lightfoot (and in that case even the pieces I don't like that
much are quite ok).
Maybe his very early career shows there. In one of his songbooks he
attributes his style to extensive experience in playing at truck stops
or bars or some such, requiring him to get a feeling for entertaining
the audience without actively "forcing" their attention.
Perfect background music.

When I first got a tape player in my car, I taped one album to listen to. It
took me two weeks before I found time to tape another album.
Thirty years later, I can just barely stand to listen to that album again. :-)

Reminds me of the time I was working in Jamaica. For four months I stayed in a
hotel that played nothing but Bob Marley in the public areas.

When you think it was changed to "Best of Queen" in less than 15 days it is
