According to the news, all kinds of people do things we know they aren't 
capable of.  That doesn't stop us from trying to regulate said activities :)

In my opinion, said grown ups shouldn't be allowed to do things they 
haven't demonstrated an ability to handle :)

  Also, the case doesn't have to be square. UMDs have more the right idea.

Technically, the cases aren't square or you could put them in sideways. :-)

There's nothing wrong with a box form. UDO, IMO, is the right idea.

Another major advantage of a protective casing is the ability to have two
recording surfaces per disk (laserdisks notwithstanding).
