Why does my stapler not work any more?
I mean, it used to work perfectly. But now, every single time I try to
staple anything, it mangles the staple into a random shape rather than
neatly bending it into a secure fastening. But why??

That's usually due to having a staple jammed in it.
My stapler! He took my stapler! I could burn the building down!

Nah. I've already taken the stapler apart to poke and prod it. There's
nothing visibly wrong with it. It just doesn't work quite right any more.

Why is it that as soon as people are in an office, they start being all
crazy about trivial things like pens, scissors, staplers, cups, etc?
