I was hoping to see at least a rough render in P.B.I. celebrating this.
A computer with a graphics demo on the screen portraying the best the
8086 had to offer would be a nice touch :)
What kind of computer was yours, exactly?
The first computer we (my brother, actually) owned was a Tandy Color
Computer 2. He got an extended basic CC3 soon after. It had 256b, I
believe. His skewed-perspective, line-rendered heightfield program
(Editmont) crashed the poor thing routinely. But the drawing program
with up to forty 30x30p animatable frames worked like a charm! Great
times...
Incidently, how do you remember that your 8086 is 30 years old today? It
it your birthday?

I had a Sinclair MK-14 but the first real (as opposed to development)
system was an Atari 800.

Nope, if you remember, Stephen and I almost share a birthday and met up
to celebrate the fact back in late March. We enjoyed it so much we
frequently repeat the error ;-)
