Nothing. We're not even spending time together today.

It's an artificial holiday and we don't need it to show our love for each
other. Of course we don't live in America, so it might not be as deeply
rooted in our culture (yet) but the stores certainly do what they can to
proclaim its significance.

I strongly considered standing on the street with a "free hugs" sign,
since I figure there's got to be some people who'd need cheering up
today, and why should the day be only about good vibes between romantic
couples? In the end I have too much work that I need to get done to
take the day off and I'd be too shy to do that without company (and I
don't know anyone offhand who could take the day off to join me). Oh
well. Also, having a fancy dinner tonight with the lady at an italian
restaurant.

Also, of course, because a lone guy with that sign would come of a lot
sketchier than would be the case with a few people of mixed sexes.

Hear hear! It *is* a Hallmark Holiday(tm); but of course that doesn't
mean we're not doing anything special - just that every day is special
for us.

Heh. And I thought *I* was just about the only single person here...

Damn - dude, that would have been pretty awsome...

[Although you would probably get a bunch of drunk homeless people who
smell of cats wanting to hug you, which is perhaps not so cool.]

Flew back from UK to Munich in the afternoon. Flight was delayed due to fog
so I didn't get home until 20:30. My gf had cooked me dinner, I gave her
some presents (the one she got for me hadn't turned up yet, stupid DHL can't
deliver next-day!) then we watched football on TV and went to bed.

Not really that exciting tbh.

Reactions:

#1 - The story ends with "we went to bed" and it was "not really that
exciting"?

#2 - Oh, so DHL failed to deliver stuff for you too, eh?
