The attachment to this post shows a series of symbols that follow a logical
progression. Once the nature of this progression has been perceived, the next
symbol in the sequence should be apparent. If you think you have figured it
out, you can click on the link below to see the solution (and the basis for
it).

DO NOT click on this link UNLESS you are ready to see/check the solution:

Happy solving,

The preview image was cropped in a way that I did not expect, next time I do
something similar, I'll know to include enough horizontal (or vertical) blank
space so that the ENTIRE image will fit into the preview frame. Live and learn
:o)

That's a funny one ! I figured it out at last, but after spending some time
racking my brain, looking for complicated solutions...

Me too. I'm also impatient. I gave up after about 15 seconds.

It took me about 10 seconds to get it. I haven't seen this problem,
but I have seen problems with the same idea.

refreshing to see such ancient symbols under new light...

I didn't even need to see the whole image to figure it out: spacial and
geometric puzzles are my specialty. I hate physics (or chemestry for that
matter)! I'm a strange sort of geek... :P

I had to scroll all the way down to the penultimate figure before it
clicked for me.

It's not feature creep if you put it
at the end and adjust the release date.

This same problem was featured in an episode of Stargate SG-1
(9x03 or 9x04).

I recognized it within about 4 seconds.
