There are actually 10 types of people: Those who understand trinary,
those who think it's binary, and those who don't understand either.

That's quite a costume that your subject line has there.

There are 10 types of people: Those who understand base-n numbers,
and n-1 of other types which have several levels of understanding.

Doesn't work past base 9. Base 10 and up, and the people who don't
understand it fit in both the "think it's base 10," and the "don't
understand" groups. If they fail to understand, they wouldn't belong in
a higher group. And if they understand a higher group, like base 10,
then they don't belong in the 'don't understand' group.
Anyways, post base 10, there are 10 - 1 people kinds of people.
