Whippersnapper! I'd've been in, let's see, 8th grade when it started?
'cuz I remember the finale being autumn of '98 and I was starting univ.
...ok so that only makes you like 2 years younger than me. shaddap.

Um, older, surely? I went to uni in '95. I think the last two seasons
actually aired in the UK before even the US for some reason.
Confusion may result from my use of the phrase 'sixth form' which
denotes the sixth and seventh (final two) years of our high schools,
also confusingly referred to as years 12 and 13 by the newer numbering
system. Ages 17 and 18, in other words.
:)
PS whippersnapper.

Too long ago, if I recall one of the problems I had was it tended to start
just before I got home.

If it's any consolation Ulysses 31 was/is better, but I think JatWW was
more action oriented and kind of wierdly gross when you watched the
organic vehicles being grown.

This reminds me of the series
V
I remember when the movies first came out
I remember how one of the 'parts' ended with the ugly green thing being
'born' - remember she had 'twins'
You know how they will show a live 'pre news coming up' before the final
credits.
Well, the news anchor had fainted and was out on the floor.
You heard someone yelling in the background - get the smelling salts.
By the time the credits were over he was back up in his seat and OK.
Quite funny.
When they showed the re-run he didn't faint, but he made the comment
that the baby didn't look any better.
Ah, fond memories as a kid!

Thought of a few others last night:
Knight Rider
Greatest American Hero
Wonder Woman
The 6 Million Dollar Man
The Bionic Woman
Batman
It's funny what hearing a song can trigger (was watching something and
the theme music from Greatest American Hero came on for some reason)
